re: Welcome!

What a nice idea, Irene! Looks like I'm the first, so I'll just share a wonderful e-mail from a young and enthusiastic pre-teen: I've just gotten back from a concert. It was by SPCO again as a surprise for me and my brother for Thanksgiving from my parents! It was fantastic. SO intense. There's a composer his name is Barbara. He wrote a piece (well actually 2) about his childhood summer. I could feel everything from the piece it was like holding my breath back. From the heat to the lazy mood and all, I think it's a masterpiece. And there was an Opera singer. I dont' remember her name but she was amazing. I could NEVER believe that someone can actually sing like her. Her voice sounds SO fragile and delicate but I could feel the strength and beautiful tone underneath it. I was wondering how much did she spend just to get such a gorgeous voice! I have so much to tell from the concert I was great. So tell me, isn't it communications like this that make teaching worthwhile? What a great Thanksgiving present!
